Frank Mueller a.k.a Beroshima has been a Pioneer of electronic music since the mid 1990's.His musical passion was ignited at the age of 13, when he created his first DJ set. Shortly after Frank played many early gigs in west Germany’s new wave scene.  With the collapse of the Berlin wall he moved from Holland to Berlin, the „CPU“ of Techno.  

2 Years later Beroshima was formed and later joined by Ulrich Schnauss in 1996. Beroshima started with a cutting edge acid flavored electronic sound and has constantly evolved as one of the finest acts in live techno.  His other main imprint Mueller records was started in 1996 providing a platform for old and fresh protagonists of electric music. 

The name Beroshima has spread to the world, with sightings all over the planet from Europe to South America, Asia and everywhere in between. Beroshima is constantly exploring with a musical compass. Frank has dropped uncountable floor hits like "Deebeefunky" "We who are oppressed" and "electronic discussion". All of the top  magazines feature his innovative productions. 

Known as an expert DJ and producer, Frank Muller has been a resident DJ at Mayday and a frequent favorite at the WIRE Festival in Japan, in addition to his residency nights "WE LOVE NEON" in Berlin and constant global touring. 

Everyone has heard at least once, one of the best known Beroshima tracks, "Horizon" released by Cocoon, Mueller & Soma. Horizon was the No.1 hit in Ibiza 2007 and one of the best selling records on Cocoon ever. It was featured in Compilations by Francois K., Danny Howells, Sven Vath, Funk D'void and many other top DJs. Beroshima releases are often listed on the playlist of many high profile artists, like Nic Fanciulli, Sasha, James Zabiela, and Technasia to name a few. 

Beside his imprint as a Techno Dj and live act his production skills provided the platform for many other artists and genres.  The result is his unique Beroshima style. One of his latest releases MOONRAKER  was chosen as best House production in 2008 by a number of Magazines in northern Europe.

Frank Mullerをマスターマインドとし表現の自由の場所としてエレクトロニック・ミュージックを基盤としたそれぞれ5つのレーベルを成功に導く。（※90年代初頭より設立したレーベル（以下順同）ACID ORANGE, TANJOBI RECORDS,MULLER RECORDS,LIFE TIME,BEROSHIMA MUSIC）現在本人を含める第一線で活躍する多くのアーティストを発掘し育ててきた。音楽へ傾ける純粋な職人精神は今も昔も色あせない。それがうかがえる結果として携わってきた作品の数は300を数え、テクノフロアを沸かせる数々のヒットトラックを生み出してきた。Frank Mullerが92年に始めたセルフプロジェクト”Beroshima”は彼の最初の自身のレーベル"Acid Orange"とともに始まる。当時完全にアンダーグラウンドな音楽であった"Acid Orange"や"Beroshima"のスタイルはエクスペリメンタルな音楽の分野に挑戦し、次第に無秩序な音（Chaotic Tunes）として、世界的に広まっていく。それらはFrank Mullerの2つ目のレーベル"tanjobi records"から出された最初の自身のアルバム"the lost freakquencies"からも聞くことができる。この二つのレーベルはアシッド、ディープミニマル、ミニマルハウスのDJ達から多く支持された。現在でもコレクターズアイテムとして異常人気を誇り、通常のレコードの20倍の値段で売られている等、レーベルサイドにも再販のリクエストがやまない。

★MULLER RECORDS

Muller Recordsは1996年に生まれ、とがったベルリンのクラブサウンドとして始まり、ベルリンのテクノシーンの中で成功したひとつのレーベルとなった。彼の経歴は1992年にacid orangeの音作りに専念するために壁が崩壊した直後、ベルリンに移った時から封は切られた。有能なテクノ・プロデューサーが“本当の自由の意味において活動できる場所“としてのMuller Records創設に専念する。後にこのMuller Recordsの誕生が彼のアイコンとも言うべきユニークかつオリジナリティあふれる作風・名を歴史に刻むダンストラックをフロアに届ける始まりとなる。最初のリリースである"electronic discussion" と "deebeephunky"は斬新な作品として受け入れられ本人の予期せぬところからMuller Recordsのクラブヒットの始まりとなる。その頃より、他のアーティストや友人がremixerやプロジェクトを共有する仲間として参加するようになった。同時にDJとして、またBeroshimaでのライブなどでドイツはもとより、日本-南米と世界中の場所で認知され、オファーが増え続けるのは自然の成り行きとなった。そして世界的な音楽のネットワークを確立することに成功する。

★The sound of Beroshima

Beroshimaのサウンドは変化に富み、以来日本を代表するテクノＤＪ石野卓球やClaude Young、DJ Rok,ローラン・ガルニエ等多くのミュージシャンが彼のプロジェクトを支持している。上記の仲間達をはじめとし、実験的なセッションを多く重ねてきた。またある一年は、レーベル運営に手腕をふるい、よりMuller Recordsの不動の地位を固めるべく、その期間は自身の作品をリリースすることなくスタジオワークに時間を注ぐ事となる。----2001/"the Pornography Of Performance"(P.O.P)を発表。これまでの成果が凝縮された傑作となり、中国や他の東南アジア諸国、ラテン・アメリカなどダンス・カルチャーがまだあまり知られていない国々へドアを開けることとなった。----2002/5つ目の新しいレーベルBEROSHIMA MUSICを始め、自分のプロダクションスタイルに磨きを掛けるべくBeroshimaスタイルにフォーカスしはじめる。Mullerからのクラシック・トラックを収録した”best of-collection”を皮切りにその後にリリースした"fuck your body"や"dance the machine"は、Andrew Weatherall,Slam,DJ Hell達のピークタイムにかけられるなど世界的に反響を呼んだ。----2003/ Frank Muller名義で日本においてのパーティを定期的に行い、中国、ロシア、韓国などさらに新たな大陸へのフットステップを決める。

----2004/春に日本を先駆け石野卓球率いるレーベルPlatikから"the catastrophe ballet "を発売。夏にかけてヨーロッパ、マレーシア、南米の発売に合わせツアーを敢行しオファーに答えるべく3大陸を飛び続けた。

----2005/ wire05（*WIRE:SONY MUSIC主催　日本最大の屋内テクノフェスティバルを指します。）セカンドフロアのトップバーナーとして出演。安定した貫禄のパフォーマンスを披露した。それを皮切りに、オーストラリア、上海、香港、日本各地はもとより、シカゴ、ニューヨーク、リオデジャネイロ、サンパウロ、ブエノスアイレス、チリまでと例年より更に範囲が広がった形でのロングツアーを成功させた。

----2006/以前より暖め続けたムラーレコーズのショーケース的役割を果たすレギュラーパーティを第1回ベルリンにて立ち上げる。発案者としてコンセプトを明確に打ち出すパーティを精力的に行い出演の場を重ねている。

テクノ界の重鎮でありcocoonのボスであるSven VathにＤＪセットの最後をしめるトラックとして2月から現在までプレイされているほか、,Kompaktを代表するMichael Mayer,Takkyu Ishino,Funk D’void,Guy Gerber,DJ mogwai,DJ Karotte等世界のフェスティバルを渡り歩くトップDJ達により、それぞれユニークなセットにおいてプレイされている。またレーベル側にフィードバックされたDJチャートの数は200に及んだ。
Side B2に挿入されたHORIZONがSVEN VATH率いるcocoonによりライセンスされ、6月初頭に発売された。

発売前のプロモーション段階からスペインのラジオ局にてチャートインし、音楽雑誌にはこぞってTHE FIRST OFFICIAL SUMMER OPEN AIR BOMB 2007と形容され、世界最高峰マーケットであるイギリスのダンスマガジン誌には”this is the absolutely anthem rock IBIZA this summer” と評価された。
Beat port interviewにおいてはJohn DigweedのNo.1レコメンドをうける。

94年よりテクノとハウスをクロスオーバさせた秀作をリリースし続け、テックハウスと言う新しいジャンルができた時代には、すでに上層部でシーンの流れを汲み取っていたmuller recordsのチーフ、Frank Muller a.k.a Beroshima。”Horizon”という形で彼のレーベルがSomaからデビューすることをここに自信をもってお届けする。

オリジナルのHorizonは2007年にcocoonよりPig&Danのミニマルリミックスをカップリングにしリリースされ、以降Valentino Kanzyani, Lucca, Francois K,John Digweed,Danny Howells,Dj Hell,Miss,kittin等世界のスーパースターDJ達に絶賛されている他日本では石野卓球、井上　薫(chari chari)、Toby等幅広い層に支持されている。
リミキサーのFunk D’Voidも奇遇なことにFrankとの共通点を多く持ち合わせ、90年代中盤よりテクノ-ハウスの草分け的存在として名乗りを上げる。Funkにより製作されたHope remixはオリジナルより、よりダイナミックなキックが刻まれ、彼独特のベース使いにより、トラック全体のドライブ感が、自信をもって製作されたものとして受け取ることができる。
Frank Mullerのセルフミックス”Deep Mix”は、より感情的に、ソウルフルかつ繊細な、ディープハウスの中でもよりディープ層の仕上がりとなっている。このmixからはタイトルも自然に想像することができる作品となった。
この12インチの締めとなるCorazon Mixは、2007年自身のレーベルmullerよりリリースされたCorazon EPに挿入されたオリジナルのHorizonからインスパイアされた内容をもう一度ブレンドする製作を試みた作品である。このトラックでいかにオリジナルのCorazon EPが秀作であり、重厚なハーモニーを引き出すことに成功したことをお見せできるだろう。

記念すべき１回目には石野卓球、Christpher Just,等をはじめ彼ならではのセンスとコネクションを生かした強力ラインナップで構成され、大注目のビッグイヴェントとなり1200人をこえるクラバーを集めた。その後はTechnasia,Joris Voorn,Legowelt等世界のクラブを賑わす流行りの知名度だけでない、腕のあるミュージシャンのみを集めたパーティを開催し続ける。ドイツでワールドカップが行われた際には2000人の来場を上回り、シティパレードにも参加するようになる。都市展開もベルリン、パリ、ニース、フランクフルトとより視野を広げた形で開催され、今年よりリニューアルオープンしたTresorに場所を移しての初回はFunk D’voidを招致し、現在は3ヶ月毎に開催している。

今でこそ多くのレーベルが本拠地ベルリンに存在するものの、数えるほどしかなかった90年代初期から今現在に至るまでシーンに根付く息の長い数少ないレーベルの一つであることは、毎回のパーティに1,200人以上の動員をほこるレーベルへの評価の一つと言ってもよいだろう。時を経ても変わらない、純粋に躍らせる音楽を打ち出すプラットフォームとして、強かに存在し続けている。

*Muller Record
As his 2nd label,Muller Record is launched in 1996,grew with Berlin based club sound and developed into one of the successful German electronic music export labels. He has built up a musical network from Berlin around the globe to Tokyo to south America,south Asia. After four years he concentrated his activities on Muller Records, his own playground where he invited other high-profile techno producers.
One of the representable Beroshima releases "Electronic Discussion" and "Deebeephunky" became worldwide stompers and started a series of club hits released on Muller Records. Soon other artists and friends joined the label.

Meanwhile Frank promoted his sound as DJ and high-quality live act at all the countless major places around the world where techno is celebrated. Reaching a known status as a techno-pioneer in countries like France, Japan and Germany. Frank has been a resident DJ at Mayday, Europe’s biggest indoor rave and now is a resident at the WIRE Festival,(it’s Asia’s biggest indoor-rave in Japan(sony music),and hosting his residency night in Tresor and Maria.

Every single release has opened new dimensions,and brought him for so many cities in the world.But also Frank has invited other musicians and producers to explore new sounds and broaden the scope of the project collaborations,sharing and trading opinion and ideas. Blowing up the funk,with the artists like Ulrich Schnauss, Takkyu Ishino , Claude Young and Rok pushed every output into a new direction.
As Beroshima project,he has closely collaborated with Ulrich Schnauss,produced and played many live acts together over many years. Frank definitely is to call a truly innovator - representing a varied style of electronic music with its own twist. The unique sound of Beroshima and the variation of his latest releases makes it difficult to describe his countless outputs in a few words. Frank Muller and its alter ego beroshima even more became an icon.Recently he turned back to his organic analog sound that Beroshima is known for. His performance has been accepted FULLY.

*RECENT
One of his recent hits "Corazon" was released on Muller Records, turned the beroshima sounds into another new direction. Beroshima‘s latest release "Horizon" on Sven Vath‘s label Cocoon Recordings was one of the biggest hits in IBIZA in summer 2007.It was packed with minimal rework by Pig&Dan,with support pouring in from , Valentino Kanzyani, Lucca and Francois K,John Digweed ,Nick Warren.One of newest interiview from beatport,superstar DJ Danny Howells recommends for his set.

And here new release arrived on SOMA Records from UK in January,coupled remixed is done by Funk D’void “Hope mix”, supported by Laurent Garnier,The young stars,James Zabiela.This release was compiled by Francois K “Master piece”(ministry of sound UK),and Funk D’void“Sci-Fi Hi-Fi”(soma mix CD series).
